About My Approach
I take an active stance in my sessions using more of a direct therapy approach, rooted in psychodynamic style and ISTDP. My goal is to work collaboratively with my clients while creating a safe space where they can have a profound relationship with themselves. I work on identifying and processing complex feelings that have been repressed sometimes for years, to get relief from symptoms such as anxiety and depression among other issues.
Having immigrated to Canada at a young age, I am no stranger to adjustment struggles, facing complex losses, questions about cultural identity, learning not to sweat the small stuff and appreciate the beauty of a new day. I have a deep appreciation for the complexity of human nature and the struggles we face.
